Thanks! The thick edges of kallax are just honeycomb filling between more dense material where the screws go. So if you cut the edges, you'll be cutting into a hollow piece and revealing the honeycomb center. I wouldn't bother personally. They are so hollow that it would be really hard to actually trim them down and rejoin them.

I know the Kallax has doors for each cube, and that it's mainly composite MDF. I don't want each cube to have their own doors and I would love to hear any ideas to alleviate the weight of the doors from the MDF frame itself. Maybe adjoin wood planks to the interiors of the shelves. Thank you! I'm looking for a way to put 5 tall skinny doors on.
